Pamyua Go To Crew
Pamyua dudes (co-founders Kilirnguq, Qacung and Aassanaaq) share the stage with incredible musicians from all over the globe. The first musical collaborator, pianist Kristoffer Jul Reenberg began touring with Pamyua in 1996. He is featured on Pamyua’s debut album Mengluni. He also co-produced and played on Pamyua’s sophomore album Verses. Kristoffer lives in Nuuk, Greenland and recently performed with Kilirnguq and daughter Tun’aqi Moeller Blanchett at the Nuuk Snow Festival 2022.
On the regular Pamyua performs with musicians closer to home. Guitarist Ivan Night has performed with the group over 15-years. Drummer Cameron Cartland regularly performs with Pamyua. Both musicians grew up in Anchorage. Beyond their musical mastery, manager Phillip credits their sincerity, humility and generosity, “which allows a beautiful family dynamic between the members,” Blanchett writes.
Pianist Sara Anderholm began performing with the group in 2017 at the Spernard Jazz Fest (Anchorage, AK). Now attending grad school at Wichita State University, Sara has become a staple member of the group. Her talent is undeniable as she doubles playing piano and bass for most shows.
This crew backs up the band for an upcoming virtual concert. They will tour with Pamyua this Summer. Stay tuned for more info.
